Objective:
Reposition the corporate brand and identity for Capitol Records, one of the first major recording labels established on the west coast.

Description:
Capitol Records is home to some of the biggest recording artists of all time and needed an identity that appeals across generations and focuses on the power of the music.

The updated logo is an evolution of the labels current mark and features a stylized version of iconic Hollywood headquarters. The new brand captures the golden era of Hollywood atmosphere and bridges the together over 60 years of wonderful music by creating an identity system that fells timeless.
